A 22-year-old Monticello man will serve 10 years in prison after he was caught posting selfies to Facebook from inside of the Drew County jail.

Court documents obtained by Deltaplex News show that the Monticello Police Department notified the Drew County Sheriff’s Office on January 14 that an inmate was posting selfies from inside of the jail.

A search of the jail cell and day room led to the discovery of a cell phone that was hidden inside of a sock.

Skylar Cody Lemley was identified as the inmate in the selfies that were posted to social media.

He accepted a plea deal late last week, and was sentenced to 10 years in the Arkansas Department of Corrections by Circuit Judge Robert Gibson.

Lemley was previously convicted on multiple charges of commercial burglary, theft of property, theft of firearms, and numerous other charges. He is currently serving a 10 year sentence on his previous charges.
