Pine Bluff Mayor Shirley Washington announced on Wednesday that the Walton Family Foundation has committed to helping Pine Bluff for five years. The foundation recently awarded a $1 million grant to the city to help with the costs of the 6th Avenue and Main Street restaurant and retail project.
Washington and Ryan Watley, the CEO of Go Forward Pine Bluff appeared on the Oldies 1013 Morning Show and Washington was asked what kind of commitment the foundation has made to the city.
Morning Show host Greg Horne asked Watley about the relationship between members of the Walton Family and himself, the City of Pine Bluff and Go Forward Pine Bluff.
Horne also asked the Mayor what the Walton Family Foundation has shown an interest in investing in and she answered this way.
