A still unidentified driver was killed in a one-vehicle accident in rural Lonoke County Sunday night.
According to a preliminary report, the man was southbound on U.S. 67/167 in the southbound lane when the 1997 Ford he was driving began to spin clockwise, traveled down a dirt embankment and overturned.
The driver was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.
The accident was reported at 8:45 p.m. and the death was the 419th so far this year on the state’s highways.
