A reported disturbance at an apartment complex on South Maple Street in the early morning hours Sunday resulted in the arrest of a man who allegedly hit a woman.
During a court hearing Tuesday, Deputy Prosecutor Beth Carson said police found Keith Powell, 56, and the female sitting outside talking when they arrived at the scene.
Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set a $5,000 bond for Powell after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge him with second offense third-degree domestic battery. He was ordered to have no contact with the victim until the case is set
