A $5,000 bond was set Thursday for a Pine Bluff man accused of pointing a gun at another man during an altercation Monday.

Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Robin Hart, 28, with aggravated assault.

Reading from a probable cause affidavit from Detective Jason Boykin, Deputy Prosecutor Caleb Conrad said an officer was sent to the Family Dollar at 16th Avenue and Cherry Street in response to a reported armed disturbance.

The officer talked to the victim and Conrad told the court what the victim said.

When Hart was questioned, he said he and a female customer got into an argument because she was standing too close to him and there was no social distancing. He said the gun did not have a magazine or bullets in it and he felt threatened.

Hart was ordered to have no contact with the victim until the case is settled and told to come back to court July 8. He said he would hire his own attorney.
