The U.S. House of Representatives has passed the sweeping “One Big Beautiful Bill Act,” a comprehensive reconciliation package aimed at delivering major conservative reforms. Congressman Bruce Westerman (AR-04) praised the legislation, calling it a historic moment for House Republicans and a promise kept to the American people.
“House Republicans have delivered historic reforms,” Westerman said. “This bill puts America first—securing our border, cutting costs, creating jobs, and eliminating waste and fraud.”
Key provisions of the bill include making the 2017 Trump tax cuts permanent, delivering additional tax relief for seniors and working families, and saving the average Arkansas household an estimated $1,280 annually. The legislation also invests in border security, expands the small business deduction to 23%, and unleashes domestic energy production and mining.
Westerman noted the bill prioritizes national defense, combats the opioid crisis, and eliminates $500 billion in special interest tax breaks tied to the Biden administration.
“This bill is about putting taxpayers, our borders, and our natural resources first,” Westerman said.
The bill now moves to the Senate for consideration.
