Watson Chapel School District Sees Enrollment Boost Amid New High School Construction

As construction on the new Watson Chapel Senior High School continues, the district is preparing to start another school year next month.

District Superintendent Dr. Keith McGee talked about that when he was a guest on the Oldies 1013 Morning Show.

Morning Show host Greg Horne said that talking about a new scoreboard seems to indicate that the district must be doing well on the budget process for the new building and McGee answered this way.

He said that currently, the district has 27 more students who have enrolled because of school choice and he has been told that traditionally, the district has lost more students to school choice than they have gained, describing that as a “positive for us.”
