The U.S. House of Representatives has done their part and approved what President Donald Trump is calling “the big beautiful bill” to fund the government and his priorities.
Now it is up to the United States Senate who will examine what the house passed, propose changes and then adopt their version.
Arkansas Senator John Boozman appeared on the Oldies 1013 Morning Show last week and was asked if he expected the senate and house versions of the bill to be in a position where they could be reconciled over this summer, or if he expected the process to take longer.
Boozman mentioned agriculture, prompting Morning Show host Greg Horne if the segments about agriculture in the legislation are separate from the Farm Bill which still has to be approved.
“It’s important because everybody has to eat,” Horne said.
