Authorities are seeking two individuals for questioning in connection with a July homicide in Pine Bluff.
According to the Pine Bluff Police Department, Demarious Brothers, 34, and Cierra Toomer, 28, are wanted for questioning in the July 18, 2025, killing of Markee Avery at 1212 South Spruce Street.
When the first detective arrived on the scene, several people were gathered at the corner of 13th and Spruce, directing him toward the residence.
Upon entering the yard, the detective found Avery lying on his back with his hands extended upward. The officer immediately checked for a pulse but found none.
Police said Avery had visible injuries, including blood on his chest and the right side of his head. Emergency personnel were then advised that the scene was secure.
The investigation into the homicide remains ongoing.
