A $3,000 cash only bond was set Monday for a Pine Bluff woman currently on probation after she was arrested while shoplifting at Walmart.
Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Karylia Rabun, 28, with theft of property and criminal trespass.
Deputy Prosecutor Ty Spradlin explained that the criminal trespass allegation was because Rabun had previously been charged with shoplifting at Walmart on Feb. 3, 2025.
Spradlin said an off-duty police officer was working security at Walmart Sunday afternoon when he was notified that two women, including Rabun, were at a self-checkout and putting items into a shopping bag without scanning them.
Rabun has a prior conviction for theft of property and is currently on probation in First Division of Circuit Court. She was told to come back to district court Oct. 15.
