The Pine Bluff School District’s Board of Directors held its monthly meeting Monday and one of the items on the agenda was the annual report to the public for the previous school year. For Pine Bluff, that was the 2024-2025 school year.
Appearing on the Oldies 1013 Morning Show Tuesday, Superintendent Jennifer Barbaree talked about that report.
Morning Show host Greg Horne said that while the district has made improvements, they are still not enough to improve those grades.
One of those improvements has been increasing the number of certified teachers in the district from 35 to 40 percent when Barbaree took over to currently 82 percent. Horne asked if that number is good enough?
Horne then asked Barbaree how does the district go about recruiting more certified teachers and is it a question of money?
