Pine Bluff Police recently completed the first two rounds of what they called the “Stop the Bleeding operation in an area between Cherry and Hazel Streets which has recorded the highest number of gunshots during the past month.
Police Public Information Specialist John Worthen was asked to talk about the results of that operation when he appeared on the Oldies 1013 Morning Show.
Morning Show host Greg Horne asked Worthen to talk about what the department was doing to increase the number of officers on the street and he answered this way.
Horne also asked if Pine Bluff is able to compete salary wise with other departments whose officers handle a lot fewer calls.
