Pine Bluff Man Charged with Vehicle Theft Faces $25,000 Bond

A $25,000 bond was set Friday for a Pine Bluff man accused of stealing a vehicle Wednesday.

Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Andrew Jamerson, 67, with theft by receiving.

Reading from an affidavit by Detective Shaun Watson, Deputy Prosecutor Shana Alexander said Wednesday at 8:16 p.m., police were sent to an address on Tulip Drive in response to a reported stolen vehicle.

Alexander said Jamerson has an extensive criminal history dating back to the 1980’s including convictions for aggravated robbery, theft, felon in possession of a firearm and others and is not currently on probation or parole.

He was told to come back to court Sept. 26.
