A $2,500 bond was set Wednesday for a Pine Bluff man accused of threatening a store clerk during an altercation Tuesday.

Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Dvonte Jackson, 25, with terroristic threatening.

Reading from an affidavit by Detective Jason Boykin, Chief Deputy Prosecutor Jill Reed said police were sent to the Shoe Show on South Olive Street in response to a reported armed disturbance.

When Jackson was questioned, he said he got into an argument over a transaction and got into his car and left. He told police he did not have a gun and denied the allegation.

Jackson was ordered to have no contact with the victim and told to come back to court Jan. 28.
