A $25,000 bond was set Friday for a Pine Bluff man accused of taking cash from an employee at Church’s Chicken before running from the store.
Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Timothy Riley, 46, with commercial burglary.
Reading from an affidavit by Detective Jason Boykin, Deputy Prosecutor Joe West said on Thursday evening, police were sent to Church’s Chicken on West 16th Avenue.
West said Riley has a significant criminal history including convictions for commercial burglary, second-degree battery and breaking or entering and multiple failures to appear in district court.
The hearing was held without Riley who was combative in his jail cell. He was told to come back to court Nov. 19.
