A student at Pine Bluff High School was elected Mayor of his city during the 84th session of Boy’s State held annually at the University of Central Arkansas.
Adam Price was elected as the Mayor of Cantrell City by his peers, according to a press release.
Pine Bluff School District Superintendent Jennifer Barbaree said she has had frequent contact with Price, and he was one of the student speakers at the district’s convocation last year.
Barbaree appeared on the Oldies 1013 Morning Show where host Greg Horne described Boy’s State as a “fun deal and a good learning experience.”
While most of the state’s schools that send students to Boys State and Girl’s State are out for the summer, the Pine Bluff School District will wrap up its year next week, then start the year-round calendar again in July and Barbaree was asked about that.
