Lunsford Realty of White Hall is one of the top firms in Southeast Arkansas and the subject of this week’s Deltaplex Business Salute.

Owner Sara Lunsford says she attributes the company’s success to having good people, and the support of the community, particularly after the tragic death of her husband.

She said she gives 100 percent of the credit to her partner and principal broker Haley Rayford, adding that they value the community and their reputation so much and it has showed over the past few years.

In May, she married White Hall Police Chief Mickey Buffkin and described herself as a “newlywed.”

Lunsford also said the company is blessed to have good people working for it.

She said the company has had a significant market share since it started in 2004 but between 2008 and 2010 her late husband really pushed past the competition and they have been a big presence in the community.

She was asked to talk about the current environment in home buying and what she sees going forward in the real estate market in Southeast Arkansas.

Lunsford said the company has had a great summer so far and activity appears to be holding steady for the next couple of months since people buying homes generally set the closing a month out or more.
