Helena Woman Charged with Burglary and Theft After Apartment Incident

A $5,000 bond was set Friday for a Helena woman accused of taking money from a woman at an apartment.

Pine Bluff District Judge John Keanrey set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Amber Riley, 37, with residential burglary and misdemeanor theft of property.

Reading from an affidavit by Detective Jason Boykin, Deputy Prosecutor Shana Alexander said police were sent to St. John Alexander Towers in response to a reported theft.

Riley has a prior felony conviction for hindering apprehension in another county from 2008. She was told to come back to court Nov. 7.
