A full day designed to help teachers in Southeast Arkansas better understand some of the new things they will face when schools start in the fall is set for Wednesday, sponsored by Go Forward Pine Bluff.
Ryan Watley, the CEO of Go Forward Pine Bluff, talked about the event when he appeared on the Oldies 1013 Morning Show.
Watley said registration will start at 8 a.m. and the location has been changed from the Pine Bluff Convention Center to the Main Library located at 6th Avenue and Main Street. He went on to explain some of the changes he previously mentioned.
On the subject of cell phones, Morning Show host Greg Horne said several school superintendents who have appeared on the morning show cited statistics about how bad kids having cell phones is and he thinks barring them from schools is a great idea, but he had heard from parents who object to the idea.
Watley was also asked to talk about some of the resources available.
