A married couple arrested Thursday following an investigation into illegal gambling will have to post $5,000 bonds each to be released from the adult detention center after a court hearing Friday.
Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Thomas Williams, 50, and Trina Williams, 57, with operating a gambling house.
Deputy Prosecutor Ty Spradlin said the two were arrested after police Vice and Narcotics officers, the SWAT team and Tri-County Drug Task Force served multiple search warrants, including one on West 6th Avenue.
The two were told to come back to court July 18 and said they would hire their own attorney.
