While the U.S. House of Representatives is on a break, Fourth District Congressman Bruce Westerman took time to visit the Pine Bluff Arsenal, which has been the subject of debate as to its future.
Westerman was asked about that on the Oldies 1013 Morning Show.
He went on to discuss a meeting he and other members of the Arkansas Congressional Delegation had with Army officials.
Morning Show host Greg Horne told Westerman that what is going on in Washington seems to be opposite what the Trump administration has advocated, building up the nation’s defense and bringing manufacturing back to America.
Horne also mentioned that the Arsenal is not only important economically to this area but to all of Southeast Arkansas and significant changes could have a significant negative impact.
