The U.S. House of Representatives on Wednesday voted primarily along party lines to approve legislation requiring voting officials to verify that only U.S. citizens are casting ballots.

Five Democrats joined every Republican in adopting the Save Act, which now goes to the Senate.

Fourth District Congressman Bruce Westerman, (R-Hot Springs) was asked about the vote when he was a guest on the Oldies 1013 Morning Show Thursday after Morning Show host Greg Horne described the vote of Democrats as a “head scratcher.”
