A $25,000 bond was set Tuesday for a Pine Bluff man previously convicted of a felony after he was found with a loaded handgun during a traffic stop.
Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Brandon Davis, 33, with being a felon in possession of a firearm.
Reading from an affidavit by White Hall Police Investigator Charles Treadway, a deputy prosecutor said on Sunday at 1:48 a.m., a White Hall Police officer was patrolling near mile marker 32 when he saw a white Honda traveling 96 miles-per-hour in a 75 mile-per-hour zone.
Davis was told to come back to court July 2.
