Pine Bluff City Council member LaTisha Brunson on Friday was critical of the negative talk that has taken place around the effort to extend the Go Forward Pine Bluff sales tax for another seven years and to approve a permanent three-eights cent tax for public safety.

Appearing on the Oldies 101.3 morning show, Brunson said this.

She went on to say that “to disrespect someone because they don’t agree with you is flat out wrong.”

She then talked about some of the things being said on social media and particularly about NAACP President and former council member Ivan Whitfield and some of his statements on behalf of the organization.
