Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders recently sat down with DeltaplexNews to discuss some of her administration’s accomplishments during her first nine months in office. The legislature passed the Governor’s bold education reform package – the LEARNS Act. The Act will move Arkansas off the bottom nationally in the area of education. Governor Sanders addressed how the implementation of LEARNS is going.

“One of the Governor’s campaign pledges was to responsibly lower, and eventually eliminate, state income taxes. Working with the legislature, the Governor has successfully cut taxes twice during her first nine months in office.”

“Governor Sanders, and First Gentleman Bryan, have a similar passion for tourism that her parents had as Governor and First Lady. The Natural State Initiative is designed to grow the outdoor recreation industry even more in Arkansas:”

“The Governor and First Gentleman are also actively encouraging the Parks & Tourism Commission and the Economic Development Commission to combine efforts to recruit additional workforce and attract younger talent to our state:”

“It’s been a busy, but very productive, first nine months in office for Governor Sanders. She has been traveling the state most recently presenting various education awards to deserving teachers and students.”
