Current Pine Bluff City Clerk Janice Roberts is completing her first term in office and is seeking reelection.

Roberts, who formerly served on the city council, said she has over 30 years of experience in federal, state and local government experience and on Thursday, was a guest on the Oldies 1013 Morning Show where she was asked to explain the duties of the city clerk.

To put it simply, Roberts said her office is the legislative record keeper for the city.

Morning Show host Greg Horne asked Roberts if she had to make a number of changes to the office when she took over from retiring City Clerk Loretta Whitfield.

She went on to talk about changing the way the office kept records and wrote checks.
