Last week, the U.S. House of Representatives voted to remove Kevin McCarthy as speaker.

Eight Republicans and every Democrat voted for the motion while all the remaining Republican congressmen voted no.

On Tuesday, Fourth District Congressman Bruce Westerman, who was a close friend of McCarthy was asked about the vote when he appeared on the Oldies 1013 morning show.

Morning show host Greg Horne told Westerman that the only names he had heard to replace McCarthy were congressmen Steve Scalise and Jim Jordan and asked Westerman if there were others who were interested in the position and who want to be speaker of the house.
