UPDATE APRIL 1.

Family members have confirmed to Deltaplex News that the victim of the vehicle versus motorcycle accident near the intersection of Sulpher Springs Road and Greenway Drive has passed away from his injuries. He passed away sometime Friday morning.

The victim has been identified as 35-year-old Damarrio Kye of Pine Bluff.

31-year-old Shevonte Anderson was arrested following Tuesday’s accident and has been charged with first-degree domestic battery and hit and run accident with injuries.

Anderson’s charge was upgraded from 1st degree Battery to 2nd Degree Murder following Kye’s death.

This is the 9th homicide for Pine Bluff in 2022.

UPDATE 3:35 p.m.

Sources within the Pine Bluff Police Department has informed Deltaplex News that a suspect has been detained following Tuesday’s vehicle versus motorcycle accident.

Witnesses have stated that the driver of the vehicle had allegedly exchanged words with the driver of the motorcycle before the accident. The suspect then allegedly ran the motorcycle driver down and ran him over, throwing him a considerable distance from his motorcycle.

The suspect is currently being questioned is a 31-year-old female.

The victim is a 37-year-old male. He has been airlifted from Jefferson Regional to a hospital in Little Rock in critical condition.

Deltaplex News is withholding the names of both the victim and the suspect at this time. We are told the suspect is expected to be charged due to her actions, but the type of charges have not been shared at this time.

The Pine Bluff Police Department is investigating an accident near the intersection of Sulpher Springs Road and Greenway Drive after a motorcycle was struck by another vehicle.

No condition on the victim is available at this time.
