A $100,000 bond was set Thursday for a Pine Bluff woman who allegedly hit the motorcycle her boyfriend was riding Tuesday, then left the scene in her vehicle.

Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Shevonte Anderson, 31, with first-degree domestic battery and hit and run accident with injuries.

Reading from a probable cause affidavit from Detective Keith Banks, Deputy Prosecutor Beth Carson said police were sent to a reported disturbance on Greenway Drive at 12:43 p.m. and that Anderson had reported her boyfriend was beating her up.

Carson said officers were then told that there had been an accident involving a motorcycle and another vehicle that left the scene.

A BOLO was issued for the vehicle driven by Anderson and Officer Jarrell Johnson said it was on West 27th Avenue and conducted a traffic stop. Anderson was arrested and taken to the Detective’s Office where she was read her rights and said she understood them.

Carson said family members of the boyfriend reported that he is in critical condition at UAMS and is on life support, adding that prosecutors expect that the charges will be upgraded to homicide.

Anderson said she would hire her own attorney.
