A $5,000 cash-only bond was set Thursday for a Pine Bluff man accused of threatening another man during an altercation Tuesday.

Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Quentin Douglas, 46, with terroristic threatening.

Reading from a probable cause affidavit from Detective Mike Merritt, Deputy Prosecutor Beth Carson said police were sent to the Cricket store on West 28th Avenue at 12:21 p.m. in response to a reported disturbance in the store.

Carson said when Douglas was questioned, he said he might have done something to the victim and when told there were witnesses said he “could” have said something to the victim.

Douglas, who is on parole in Drew County, was ordered to have no contact with the victim until the case is settled.
