A $100,000 cash only bond has been set for a Pine Bluff man who allegedly fired shots at police who were trying to arrest him.

Dustin Denton, 30, has been charged with four counts of attempted capital murder and one count of being a felon in possession of a firearm and made his first appearance in court Friday morning where the charges against him were explained.

Denton was wounded after exchanging shots with police detectives and had been taken to a Little Rock hospital following the incident Oct. 26. He was released Wednesday.

According to a probable cause affidavit, detectives received information that Denton was at ImmunoTek Plasma at 2809 S. Camden Road where he was seen by an off-duty officer. Denton had been the subject of a bolo and was wanted for questioning in a homicide in March. He was also being sought on probable cause of false imprisonment and terroristic threatening from an incident in April and was wanted in Little Rock for being a felon in possession of a firearm.

Witnesses told police Denton attempted to leave the business after seeing police arrived and fired shots at one of the detectives near the back door. A handgun was recovered at the scene.
