A $50,000 bond was set Tuesday for a Pine Bluff man accused of firing shots inside his house Friday.

Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Roy Lee Daniels, 66, with aggravated assault on a family or household member and being a felon in possession of a firearm.

During the court hearing, Deputy Prosecutor Caleb Conrad said an officer was sent to a house in the 3300 block of Missouri Street where Moore’s wife reported that he had fired shots at her and her son.

Conrad said police reported damage to the walls, furniture and television and recovered shell casings on the floor of the house.

Detective Jason Boykin reported that when Daniels was questioned, he said he fired three shots in the air inside the house, then left.

Daniels was ordered to have no contact with the victims until the case is settled and told to come back to court July 9. The Public Defenders Office was appointed to represent him.
