A one-vehicle accident near Dewitt in Arkansas County Monday resulted in the death of a Barton man.
According to a preliminary report, Cedric Moore, 60, was westbound on Arkansas Highway 276 near Devore Road when the 2017 Mack truck he was driving crossed the eastbound lane and left the roadway. The truck struck the roadside ditch and rolled onto the driver’s side. Moore was pronounced dead at the scene.
The accident was reported at 4:45 a.m. and the death was the 443rd so far this year on the state’s highways.
