The Pine Bluff Police Department is in the very early stages of a shooting investigation that has left one person dead and several others injured.
Shortly before 1:00 a.m. officers responded to the Sahara Temple at 820 S Main in reference to gunfire. When they arrived a large group of people were running from the building into the street.
The Pine Bluff Police Department can confirm that a Pine Bluff Police Officer did fire his weapon during the incident outside the building.
The officer involved shooting is being investigated by the Arkansas State Police. The Initial Shooting that occurred inside the building is being investigated by the Detective and Crime Scene Divisions of the Pine Bluff Police Department.
