Alonzo Hampton was formally introduced as the 22nd head football coach of the UAPB Golden Lions on Tuesday in a high energy press conference that showed there is excitement in Golden Lions Nation surrounding this hire.
Hampton has a lot of plans for his football program, which begins with building a firm foundation.
Hampton said part of building that foundation is working on building the fan base, and that starts with recruiting locally.
He also spoke about the type of players he will look to bring to UAPB on the recruiting trail.
Hampton will be tasked at putting together a good coaching staff, and he spoke about going through that process.
