A $10,000 cash only bond was set Friday for a Pine Bluff man previously convicted of a felony who is accused of firing a shot during an altercation Thursday.

Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Marlon Scott, 29, with aggravated assault on a family or household member and being a felon in possession of a firearm.

Deputy Prosecutor Joe West said on Thursday, police were sent to a reported disturbance on West 26th Avenue where they made contact with the victim.

West said Scott was previously convicted of multiple counts of breaking or entering and is currently out on bond on charges of aggravated assault and terroristic threatening.

He was ordered to have no contact with the victim and told to come back to court Nov. 19.
