A $5,000 bond was set Wednesday for a Jefferson County woman accused of filing a false police report, and drug and weapons allegations.
Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Charla Wilkinson, 50, with filing a false report with law enforcement, possession of a controlled substance and simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms.
Reading from an affidavit by Sheriff’s Investigator Kristen Garner, Deputy Prosecutor Ty Spradlin said Wilkinson came to the Sheriff’s Office Monday regarding a felony case that had occurred earlier in the month of September.
Spradlin said Wilkinson had driven herself to the Sheriff’s Office and the vehicle needed to be removed from the office parking lot.
Wilkinson was told to come back to court Nov. 5.
