White Hall Man Held on $25000 Cash Bond for Drug and Theft Charges

A $25,000 cash only bond was set Wednesday for a White Hall man on drug and theft charges.

Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Steve Zachary Wilson, 34, with theft by receiving and possession of a controlled substance with purpose to deliver.

Deputy Prosecutor Ty Spradlin said Wilson was arrested Monday afternoon after police located a U-Haul van that been reported stolen.

Wilson is on parole and listed as an absconder. He has prior felony convictions including possession of a controlled substance with purpose to deliver and a pending case where he is charged with theft by receiving.

He was told to come back to court Nov. 5.
