A $5,000 bond was set Friday for a Pine Bluff woman accused of entering a home on the west side of the city and taking items that didn’t belong to her.

Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Takemma Shelby, 45, with residential burglary and resisting arrest.

Reading from an affidavit from Detective Jason Boykin, Deputy Prosecutor Joe West said on Thursday evening, an officer was sent to a house on Adventure Drive where the resident reported a burglary.

Boykin reported that the resident said Shelby had asked him to take her to the casino but he refused because he had other things to do, and he left.

West said Shelby has a prior felony conviction and she was told to come back to court Oct. 31.
