A $5,000 bond was set Wednesday for a White Hall man who allegedly had a gun that had been reported stolen in his possession.
Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Antonio Eans, 39, with theft by receiving a firearm.
Deputy Prosecutor Ty Spradlin said a White Hall Police Officer was patrolling Sheridan Road at about 10 p.m. when he saw a silver Honda Accord traveling east. The officer ran the license plate through the Arkansas Crime Information Center database and then conducted a traffic stop.
Eans has no prior felony convictions or pending charges. He was told to come back to court Oct. 29.
