A $45,000 bond was set Wednesday for a Little Rock man accused of having sex with a minor in his vehicle in July.

Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Joshua Watson, 22, with rape.

Prosecutors had asked for a $75,000 bond but Kearney agreed to the lower bond at the request of an attorney for Watson.

Deput Prosecutor Ty Spradlin said on Aug. 24, investigators spoke to the alleged victim, who is 13.

When Watson was interviewed, he denied having sex with the girl and said he blocked her from his social media account after finding out her age.

Watson was ordered to have no contact with the victim and told to come back to court Oct. 1.
