Richard (Doc) Victorino has been a member of the Jefferson County Quorum Court since he was appointed by Governor Sarah Huckaby Sanders to replace former JP Danny Holcomb.
He was a guest on the Oldies 1013 Morning Show where host Greg Horne asked him what he attributed the fact that at the last two quorum court meetings, things actually got done and legislation got passed to.
Horne went on to say that some of the JP’s, who for lack of a better term are against County Judge Gerald Robinson “hang out in the halls” when Robinson holds meetings but Victorino had not done that and was not with that group and that says a lot.
Those eight JP’s who Horne said were “against the County Judge” held their own meetings after Robinson and the five JP’s who support him left and when they held those meetings, one of them had to act as county judge, leaving just seven and Horne said he thought it took 60 percent of the total of Quorum Court members to pass legislation.
