A $5,000 bond was set Friday for a Pine Bluff woman accused of injuring two police officers while resisting arrest Thursday.

Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Robin Thomas, 35, with second-degree battery on a law enforcement officer.

The hearing was conducted without Thomas who refused to come out of her jail cell.

Reading from an affidavit by Detective Ryan Edwards, Deputy Prosecutor Shana Alexander said at 6:17 a.m., police responded to a report of unknown trouble at a house on South Poplar Street.

Alexander said none of the people in the house wanted to press charges against Thomas for her actions. She is to return to court Sept. 26.
