A bond of $200,000 was set Monday for a Pine Bluff woman accused of murder in the death of an infant.
Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Lacrystal Matthews, 24, with first-degree murder.
Reading from an affidavit by Detective Ryan Edwards, Chief Deputy Prosecutor Jill Reed said on June 14, police responded to 4600 Dollarway Road, the Sunbridge Inn, Room 107, because of a reported unresponsive infant.
Kearney appointed the Public Defender’s Office to represent Matthews. He did not give her a return date.
