Community Collaboration Enhances Safety Mass Casualty Drill

On Tuesday, multiple law enforcement agencies, EASI, Jefferson Regional Hospital and the Arkansas Department of Health joined together to stage an active shooter drill with multiple casualties at Jack Robey Jr. High School.

On Wednesday, Larry Kennedy from Jefferson Regional and Josh Bishop from EASI were guests on the Oldies 1013 Morning Show where Kennedy talked about how the event went and what they learned.

Morning Show host Greg Horne told Bishop that emergency medical personnel had to communicate with a whole bunch of folks.

Horne described the transfer of patients to Little Rock as a “big deal” and Kennedy explained that the decision on where patients would be sent was based on how serious they are.

Horne said “once you decide they’re going to Little Rock they’re going to Little Rock and Kennedy and Bishop joined the discussion.
