A $15,000 bond was set Monday for a Pine Bluff woman with multiple prior felony convictions on drug and theft related allegations.

Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Jorden Jackson, 32, with possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and theft of property.

Reading from an affidavit by Tri-County Drug Task Force Investigator Morgan Carter, Deputy Prosecutor Brittaney Akel said at about 5 a.m. Saturday, a sheriff’s deputy was patrolling in the area of Sulphur Springs Road and Camden Cutoff when he conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with a defective headlight.

Akel said the deputy located two smoking pipes that are commonly used to smoke methamphetamine and had burned brown residue in them.

Stolen property including a watch, diamond earrings and costume jewelry were returned to the owner.

Akel said Jackson has prior felony convictions for forgery and for drug related allegations from Drew County. She was told to come back to court July 14.
