A $25,000 bond was set Monday for a Pine Bluff man currently on parole who was arrested after a loaded gun was found under the driver’s seat of the vehicle the man was driving.

Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Carlos Frazier, 43, with being a felon in possession of a firearm.

Deputy Prosecutor Brittaney Akel said the allegation was based on an affidavit by Arkansas State Trooper Nathan Jines.

Akel said Frazier has at least six prior felony convictions, is on parole and a warrant alleging he has violated the conditions of his parole has been issued with no bond.

Frazier has been told to come back to court July 14.
