Bonds of $50,000 each were set Tuesday for two men who both have multiple prior felony convictions on drug related charges.

Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charger Hunter White 26, of Sheridan and Terry Brannon 46, of Pine Bluff with possession of a controlled substance with purpose to deliver and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Reading from an affidavit by Sheriff’s Capt. Yohance Brunson, Deputy Prosecutor Shana Alexander said on Sunday at 11:35 a.m., Sheriff’s Cpl. Jones was patrolling Martha Mitchell Expressway at Hutchinson when he saw a white Chevrolet Trailblazer with expired tags.

The off-white substance tested positive for methamphetamine and weighed 14.8 grams and the green-leafy substance tested positive for marijuana and weighed 4.8 grams.

White and Brannon denied ownership of the drugs.

In addition to the new allegation, Brannon has been charged with second-degree forgery based on a warrant from October 2024 with a $35,000 bond set for that charge.

Both men were told to come back to court July 2.
