On Monday, the Pine Bluff City Council voted 5-2 to pay Jefferson County almost $1million that was owed for bed space at the adult detention center.
The decision to pay the funds came after Pine Bluff lost a lawsuit that had been filed by the county arguing that the city has not paid bed space fees created by legislation approved by the Quorum Court.
On Wednesday, County Judge Gerald Robinson was asked how the money will be distributed once it is received.
