A $5,000 bond was set Wednesday for a Pine Bluff woman accused of taking a vehicle without permission.

Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Tomika Pridgeon, 43, with theft of property.

Deputy Prosecutor Shana Alexander explained the allegation based on an affidavit from Pine Bluff Police Detective Dante Nicholson.

Alexander said the following day, at about 1:30 p.m., Officer Anderson was patrolling the area of West 16th Avenue and Cherry Street.

Pridgeon was told to come back to court June 11 and said she would hire her own attorney.
